Natarajan Mahesh Rajan - Brand ambassador

With over 18 years of experience in the F&B industry, Natarajan Mahesh Rajan is a seasoned expert in food, beverages, and hospitality. His journey spans bartending, culinary arts, and alcohol distribution, making him a well-rounded authority in food and whisky pairings.

Mahesh spent 8 to 10 years honing his craft as a bartender, working with renowned groups such as Prive Group, Life Brandz, and Daniel Ong Group. His passion for flavours led him to train as a chef in modern contemporary cuisine, further deepening his understanding of gastronomy.

In the world of alcohol distribution, Mahesh has over 5 years of experience working with prominent companies like Cornerstone Wines, Imperial Spirits, and Eclectique Wines. As a Brand Ambassador for De Kuyper Liqueurs and M&H Whisky, he brings a wealth of knowledge about spirits and their intricate pairings.

Representing Cornerstone Wines at the upcoming Food & Whiskies Pairing Event at New Ubin Seafood, Mahesh will share his expertise in crafting the perfect harmony between fine whiskies and delectable Truly Singaporean cuisine.

  • Taste: Fruity sherry sweetness, dark chocolate, gentle oaky notes

    Named "World's Best Single Malt" at the World Whiskies Awards 2023.
    91 points Silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2024.

    Medium bodied. Light fruity sherry sweetness, rich fruits and dark chocolate, followed by gentle oaky notes. Long finish, the dark chocolate linger in the palate for a while, followed by tobacco and oak notes.

    World’s Best Single Malt Whisky. M&H travelled all the way to Spain, and had Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry made especially for this. The casks, once filled with quality sherry and seasoned for one year in Spain, were brought to the distillery to mature our New-Make spirit for a wonderful complex whisky.

  • Taste: Baked pie crust, juniper, hazelnut, seasoned oak, cloves, white peppercorns

    Bronze at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2024.

    This single malt whisky was fully matured in grand cru red wine casks from one of the world's most prestigious wineries in the Bordeaux region. Deep and comforting, it is a rare expression in more than one sense.

M&H Apex Dead Sea

  • Colour: Rich mahogany

  • Nose: Nougat, marzipan, vanilla, mint, butterscotch, sandalwood, cigar box

  • Taste: Bold coffee, cinnamon, dark chocolate, aniseed, charred oak, liquorice

  • Finish: Cloves, salt, medicinal notes, lingering sweetness

  • ABV: 56.2%

  • Awards/Ratings:
    Best Israeli Small Batch Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2024.
    90 points Silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2024.

    Nose: Plenty of nougat and marzipan, quickly followed by vanilla pods and a whisper of mint, but also butterscotch, pine resin and rye bread. Finally a touch of cigar boxes and sandalwood. It’s rich alright.

    Taste: A little less rounded and more aggressive than the nose, with notes of strong coffee, but also cinnamon and dark chocolate, as well as allspice and pepper. There’s also some aniseed, a whiff of charred oak and some liquorice root.

    Finish: Cloves, a pinch of salt and even a slight medicinal note. Finally a touch of After Eights and a lingering sweetness.

    This small batch single malt whisky is the first and only whisky ever aged in the lowest place on earth, The Dead Sea, where temperatures reach 50 degrees Celsius, giving it strong and intense flavours.

    92 points Silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2023.

    The Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. This whisky matured in Barrels from Islay, soaked with smoky aromas and salted flavours, then blended with ex-bourbon barrel-aged single malt that was left to mature under the hot Tel Aviv sun. The Elements Peated integrates the fruity notes of the new make into the barrel’s typical Islay Peaty notes; the result is delicate, rather mellow, and lightly peated whisky.

    Part of the Milk & Honey Apex Series, this peated Isreali single malt has been matured in STR (shaved, toasted, and re-charred red wine casks), Bottled at 58.9% without colouring or chill filtering. 

    This single malt whisky was crafted in ex-red wine casks that have been Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred and filled with our peated new make spirit. The STR technique was developed by the late Dr. Jim Swan, a famous Whisky Consultant. This process enables the casks to release rich flavours and red fruit notes. Non chilled filter. Natural colour.
