Glenfiddich Pairing Lunch

Glenfiddich is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced by William Grant & Sons in the Scottish burgh of Dufftown in Moray. Glenfiddich means "valley of the deer" in Scottish Gaelic, which is why the Glenfiddich logo is a stag.

They are the world's best-selling single-malt whisky and also the most awarded at the International Spirits Challenge.

Good food and good whisky has always been a great combination. From a delicious scampi dish to plethora of meats and a sweet dessert, we’ve carefully crafted a menu designed to complement a number of Glenfiddich's different expressions.

ABOUT THE GLENFIDDICH

THE MAVERICK WHISKY MAKERS OF DUFFTOWN

Few men have built their own distillery with their own bare hands. But that’s exactly how William Grant started writing Glenfiddich’s story.

For 20 years William Grant nurtured a dream to make the ‘best dram in the valley’. With the help of his family, he finally achieved that vision.

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.

William’s passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today. Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt* Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of our founder’s innovative nature, passed down through the generations.

Range

Glenfiddich's range starts with the 12yo and includes other expressions at 15yo (Solera), 18yo, 21yo (rum finish), a 15yo Distillery Edition at 51% and Rich Oak, a 14yo finished in new casks. An NAS The Original, 19yo Age of Discovery Madeira finish, and older vintages at 26yo (43%), 30yo, 40yo (yearly batches, strength varies) and 50yo (46.1%) are also available - all at 40% unless otherwise stated.

The Experimental Series was introduced in 2016 - Project XX (47%); and IPA Experiment (43%). In 2017 21yo Winter Storm (43%), finished in Icewine casks was added to the series.

The Glenfiddich Gallery also offers 'bespoke' whiskies - selected casks available in personalised bottles.

Independent bottlings extremely rare as Glenfiddich "teaspoons" any casks sold by the distillery to prevent their use as Glenfiddich Single Malt - the addition of a small amount of another single malt won't affect the taste, but it is no longer single malt.

Wardhead, with added Balvenie, has occasionally been bottled.
