For intimate gatherings to grand reunions: A menu for every occasion. Designed to be convenient, delectable and flexible, New Ubin Seafood is offering three set menus and selected ala carte dishes to suit every occasion. Chinese New Year is a time for family togetherness and reunions so for big groups of family and friends of up to 10 pax, there are the Fortune Bounty Banquet 福满蛇财宴 at S$988++ and Imperial Reunion of Grandeur 御蛇献宝宴 at S$1,388++ to choose from.

For the Fortune Bounty Banquet set menu, start off with a Golden Prosperity Lo Hei with Abalone, Smoked Salmon and Topshell 鲍螺万祥发财捞 and Imperial Double-boiled Fish Maw and Crabmeat Soup宝锭帝王汤, followed by main dishes comprising of Golden Crispy Soon Hock in Sweet & Sour Sauce糖醋金顺壳 – a whole Soon Hock fish that is deep-fried till golden and crispy, and drizzled with a savoury sweet and sour sauce, a dish that Is certainly well-loved across all ages, Braised Sea Cucumber with Snow Crab Claws & Yam海参喜玉蟹, Lotus-wrapped Treasure Chicken with Glutinous Rice荷香富贵鸡, and Harmony Pork Ribs with Seasonal Greens红烧庆排骨. Be satiated with a hearty Luxury Lobster with Poached Rice祥龙锦泡饭 and complete the meal with Sweet Blessings Gula Melaka Sago with Coconut Ice-cream椰子西米福 for a sweet and joyful ending.

For those looking for a more grandiose menu, there is the pièce de resistance Imperial Reunion of Grandeur 御蛇献宝宴 set menu which showcases the best of Chinese and Peranakan in a myriad of flavours and premium ingredients for the festive occasion. No Chinese New Year meal can start without tossing to prosperity with the Golden Prosperity Lo Hei with Abalone, Smoked Salmon and Topshell 鲍螺万祥发财捞 to symbolise abundance and success for the year ahead. Then be warmed with a comforting bowl of Fortune Treasure Bakwan Kepiting Soup灵蟹肉丸汤, and tuck into the Auspicious Appetiser Platter吉祥如意拼 of poached prawns in a refreshing fruit salad, crispy saltwater smelt fish, salt & pepper squid tentacles, tempura snow crab leg with wasabi mayonnaise, red baby octopus and seasoned scallops. Next up is the Peranakan Asam Soon Hock顺壳跃龙门 and the meal comes to a crescendo with the New Ubin Seafood Treasure Pot (Pen Cai)亨通聚宝盆, Lotus-wrapped Treasure Chicken with Glutinous Rice荷香富贵鸡 and Majesty Rock Lobster Laksa帝龙叻沙丝. Finally, it ends with the Snow Fungus Peach Gum with Kueh Salat福寿银耳桃 representing health and vitality, adding a touch of sweetness and harmony for the year ahead.

For smaller and intimate gatherings of up to five pax, consider the Golden Prosperity Feast 蛇灿莲花宴 at S$488++ and experience the best of Chinese New Year classic dishes such as the Golden Fortune Lo Hei with Smoked Salmon & Topshell金蛇迎春发财捞, Wisdom Treasure Soup with Fish Maw宝锭智慧汤, Longevity Spinach with Shiitake Mushrooms长寿玉菠菜; and ones with a twist such as the Golden Crispy Halibut with Nyonya Sauce娘惹金鲽鱼, Fortune Mangalica Pork Belly with Gula Melaka Glaze金福五花肉, Spicy Tiger Prawns with Nyonya Achar娘惹大福虾, and Blessings Peranakan Lam Mee福满喜淋面. For a more personalised option, customers can choose to order the Golden Prosperity Lo Hei with Abalone, Smoked Salmon and Topshell鲍螺万祥发财捞 (S$88++), Auspicious Appetiser Platter吉祥如意拼 (S$168++), New Ubin Seafood Treasure Pot (Pen Cai) 亨通聚宝盆 (S$488++) or Snow Fungus Peach Gum福寿银耳桃 ($88++) as à la carte items, which are good to serve 8 to 10 pax per portion, to add on to New Ubin Seafood’s regular menu offerings.

The Year of the Snake Chinese New Year set menus and ala carte festive dishes will be available from 5 January till 12 February 2025, at both New Ubin Seafood’s CHIJMES and MYMCA Stevens outlets. The set menus range from S$488++ for 5 pax, and S$988++ to S$1,388++ for 10 pax, with Early Bird Specials discounts and Banking Privileges promotions available.
